Why me?!?!

I don’t know if a wise person one said it but I know I’m saying it now. If I knew what I know now I would have stayed home and locked the doors and never went on vacation. Seriously I have taken road trips as a kid in the family Buick, which graduated to actually being able to fly. Then I tried cruising with my wife and then graduated to road trips in the family Jeep.

There have been about a dozen trips to Walt Disney World sprinkled in between a time share in Aruba and road trips to Minnesota to see the family. From Maine to Florida, New York to California and Texas to Minneapolis. London, Aruba and the Caribbean with more to come. I have driven, flown, cruised and rode the rails all while navigating being a really clueless teen and young adult to having to prepare foods and bring a microwave for a special needs child.

My mom raised five of us, two with congenital heart defects, including myself, and the number one thing I learned about vacationing from her is to make it work and make it memorable because these are the things you remember when you grow up. My goal is to help other families make those memories that they talk about at the dining room table twenty years later.

Make the Vacation Start When You Leave The House.

Reality is that Vacations these days come in all sorts of sizes shapes and destinations. Whether it be a family event or just visiting the relatives, we can find ways to make it special each and every time.
